Dear fellow PTs,
I have started a new website on electrophysical agents which I think members
of this list might be interested in. The website is dedicated to the
development of evidence-based models for the determination of treatment
dosages in the various electrophysical modalities. This is a follow-up to a
course I conducted recently for the Singapore Physiotherapy Association,
entitled "Towards an evidence based model for determining treatment dosages
in EPA". It was a promise I made to the participants and it is something
that I think might be of interest to PTs everywhere.
The main contents is divided into two main sections :
a. Proposed Models : This section looks at each individual EPA modality
and puts forward a proposed model for determining treatment dosage.
b. Clinical Studies : This section summarises all the literature up till
Jan 1999 which looks at the clinical efficacy of a modality, and categorises
each study according to its "level of evidence". More studies will be added
as and when they become available. If any member of this list is aware of
any study which meets the criteria and which was not listed in this section,
I would appreciate it if you could let me know. I am hoping that this
section will grow and become more comprehensive as members provide their
input.
I hope you will find some time to drop by and visit the website. I welcome
any feedback on any matter related to the site which will hopefully improve
and grow with your support. Before I forget, the URL address is

change from time to time.
Happy Labour Day.....
