Re-enactor traders in this country make re-production saddlery. A directory
called "Call to Arms" lists traders and re-enactment groups,
(http://www.calltoarms.com/). Alan Larsden is knowledgeable about the
history of horse wear. He my be contactable through Call to Arms, or
through English Heritage Special Events Unit, (0171 973 3458), as he used to
work for them. He has produced cavalry from the Romans to late Victorians
for English Heritage.

Subject: Saddles
We've had an enquiry from someone in the USA asking where he could
information about a saddle from the reign of Henry VIII. Does anyone on
the list have any suggestions about likely sources of help?
Many thanks
