(Pointer to major UK health/medical network initiative)
In 1998 Information for Health, the Information Strategy of the Department
of Health, announced the setting up of a National Electronic Library for
Health (NeLH). The mission of the NeLH will be:
- to provide easy access to best current knowledge;
- to help improve health and healthcare, clinical practice, and
patient choice.
A web site which outlines the strategy, background and other details of
this initiative can be found at:

This is of interest not just to health and medical people, but also to
people in the wider UK informatics, electronic library, and librarianship
fields.
