Message from new list member, Bernice Archer
Dear list,
I am just completing my Phd thesis on civilian internment in the Far
East
during World War II. One of my chapters is on the childrens response to
internment. I have noted from this list that there appears to be a lot
of
work on children and the holocaust but little about western children
caught
in the Far East. I have used various recent autobiographies written by
children ex-internees but have yet to find any drawings etc, similar to
those done by the German children. Does anyone know if there are any in
any
library or museum either in England or Holland, or perhaps elsewhere?
Thanks for your help.
Bernice Archer.
