Anyone who accesses current OJs on the EUR-Lex website will have noticed
delays in loading some issues during recent weeks.
EUR-OP has now provided the following explanation and assurance:
"We are very sorry about the facts that few OJ deliveries are not uploaded
or
uploaded lately in the EUR-Lex website.
I would like to stress that the level of service offered by EUR-Lex is still
quite high. From 16/4/99 until today more than 82% of OJs are published in
time.
Just under 10% are published with a delay of 1 day, which is invisible to
most
OJ paper subscribers. Finally another less than 8% is still missing due to
technical difficulties of the printers responsible for their publication.
This
situation is improving daily and we target to be back to our 99% of OJs
uploaded
on-time.
We are liaising closely with our printers to ensure a good level of service
and
that "on-time" availability is guaranteed.
We are confident that before the end of May we will be able to have solved
all
the pending technical problems.
Once again we would like to apologize for any inconvenience to our users and
to
thank you for you understanding and patience."
