Following Linda McDowell's point about the silence of the forum over
the question of equal pay for female academics. It does seem to me
that this silence befits the sort of mumbling and murmuring that is
associated with such issues. Should we not be addressing this
question rather than Moss's article which, while relating to an
important issue to us all, was largely just a misinformed piece after
all. (even though the slippage between the RGS and geography per se
is an increasingly worrying development)
