Inspiration (and Decision Explorer) will draw a diagram automatically from
an exported NUD*IST tree. As the NUD*IST tree is hierarchical the
automatic map is obviously hierarchical but you can choose the layout.
You can hide those parts of the tree you're not interested in showing and
can add links between nodes if you want to show additional relationships.

I'm not sure quite what you mean by 3-d but you can have maps in
Inspiration which when you click on a bubble goes to another child map.

Yes, links are attached to nodes so that when you move a node the link
moves. Links can be straight, curvy or with right-angled bends. You can
label links and have arrows at either, both or no ends. In addition you
can draw on the background - I tend to have lots of explanation that isn't
part of a node but is just text written on the background.

NVivo has a modeller which provides live maps (eg you click on a node and
you can see all the text referenced by that node).
