List members may find a new section of the IMF site useful. There is
extensive data available in CSV format on the world and individual
countries. The site is available at:
http://www.imf.org/external/pubs/ft/weo/1999/01/
There is also a good section of the CTI Economics site listing data
sources on the web:
http://www.ilrt.bris.ac.uk/ctiecon/resources/stats.htm
Recent new features on Biz/ed include an updated version of the company
report browser and profiler. We have standardised the reports for 18
companies and included some interpretation of their accounts. The data
can either be browsed by company or searched by variable.
We have also just made available a downloadable version of the Virtual
Economy. This can be downloaded as a single file which can then be
installed on a network or single machine. The downloadable version does
not unfortunately include the model itself (this is not technically
possible - yet!), but has all the first four floors of supporting
materials. This version should save institutions having to be on the
internet all the time while using the site.
Finally there is also a new Company on Company Facts - British
Aerospace.
Hope this is all useful,
Cheers,
ANDY BEHARRELL (Biz/ed Project Manager)
