We visited Walsingham some years ago, before I took much notice of wells. On
rereading the guidebook as I photocopied relevant bits for Mary, I note that
the present Anglo-Catholic set-up, the church of Our Lady of Walsingham, is
apparently wholly 20th century, with a different spring from the medieval
one(s), although quite close to the ruins of the Abbey. Further research
would be interesting . . .
