Studies) will act as the Calendar Editor of Annals of Tourism Research
following Steve Illum, who did a wonderful job on the section for many
years. This means that any conference announcements that you wish to appear
in the Calendar section of Annals of Tourism Research should be
e-mailed/mailed/faxed directly to me.
If you want to make my job easier, please check in the latest issue of
Annals what information is usually printed in the calendar section about
conferences and prepare a announcement similar to those. Additionally I
would like to receive any flyers, early warnings, call-for-papers + other
information on your conferences. To make the Calendar section more valuable
to the readers, please contact me already at the planning stage/early
warning stage, so that the information reaches the readers in time for
deadlines, early bird registrations etc. Do keep in mind that the Calendar
section is also interested in major tourism-related sessions at conferences
that are not entirely devoted to tourism (eg. the RC50, sociology of
tourism, -sessions at the World Congresses of the International
Sociological Association).
