Is your data difficult to fit into the demands of other computer analysis
programs?
Sounds like you are ready for NVivo!
In October we are offering a full two days of hands-on training in QSR
NUD*IST Vivo(NVivo), the new partner qualitative software package to
NUD*IST4. The course will be led by one of the developers of NVivo. Lyn
Richards is Director of Research Services at Qualitative Solutions and
Research in Melbourne.
The two days will offer:
¨ a comprehensive demonstration and introduction to the software;
¨ discussion of research design and new analysis processes in NVivo;.
¨ Strategies for combining rich text data editing and qualitative coding;
¨ new ways of hyperlinking data, to memos, to multimedia documents and
within projects;
¨ new powerful ways of shaping and filtering data;
¨ qualitative modeling that links live to your data;
¨ integrated searching of text and coding, with new scoping and assaying
of searches;
¨ new ways of presenting and reporting results.
This course will demonstrate the skills and techniques necessary to get
going in your own project. More importantly, it teaches them, makes them
your own and allows you to explore and practice them on your own data.
The course will be offered on Pentium II machines running the NT desktop
which will provide speedy responses and allow the software to perform to
its advantage.
Venue: + Notre Dame University in Fremantle
Dates: + Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 October 1999
Times: + 9am coffee for 9.30am until 4pm
Cost: + $200 for full time postgraduate students
$300 for others.
There is a limit of 20 participants for the two-day course. It may be
possible to run other courses if numbers of confirmed responses so warrant.
