I would suggest that she is actually damaging the muscles through over
training. What would be required would be reducing her training to the
level she is sore for less than 24 hours. 4 days is way too long,
expecially for a young competitive athelete. If she is not overtraining, I
would suspect that she may have a neuromuscular problem of some sort.
Also, is there some type of injury, SI joint, inquinal bursitis, quadriceps
tendonitis that is being exacerbated by her training? She could also
explore some nutritional supplementation in that if she is getting sore for
that long, maybe she is depleteing some nutrients she requires.
