On behalf of the calendrically challenged everywhen, my thanks to Peter
Binkley and, again, to Otfried.
I look forward to the inclusion of references to the phases of the moon,
sunspot cycles, eclipses and comets and time to the end of the world on both
their sites as soon as they can get the time.
To say nothing of those peskie epacts.
And to Jim Bugslag's Chartres-customized calendar being posted as well?
And other folks' diocese-specific customizations as they generate them
for their own use?
Peter's wonderful tool would seem to open the possibility of a site with--over
time, as contributors offered their own customized work--many diocese-specific
calendars which would be a heckofa resource for those
who find such arcane information of use.(?)
I use such information quite infrequently myself, and I have no idea what I am
asking beyond the selfless sharing of proprietary research and Peter's time to
post such supplementary calendars to his site.
Just a thought.
And a bit of feedback concerning a bug(?) in accessing Peter's site which I
hope is not wasting the list's time, as it might be experienced by others:
When I go to the link, Netscape doesn't open a new window, but Peter's
site "takes over" the Netscape which I have running.
And the "back" button won't take me back to the mail program I used to access
the link in the first place.
So, after I'm done visiting I have to start over to get back to my mail.
Perhaps the problem is that I use a web-based mail program; but *most* of the
time when I access a link embedded in a mail message the site opens *within*
the mail program and I can get back to it simply by hitting "back."
My apologies to the list if I'm the only one who has experienced this problem.
Hope the answer will be of use to others.
And kudos to Peter for a job well done in a generous spirit.
Best to all from here,
Christopher
