not academic-oriented, but generally useful and recommendable is the
collection of search engines at
http://www.cerca.com/
The section "motori di ricerca / WWW-Italia" allows to do searches with
several Italian search engines (Arianna, Il Trovatore, Ragno Italico,
Search in Italy, Virgilio) and with several international search engines
which have specific Italian versions or allow to limit searches down to
domains in Italy or to webpages in Italian language.
