It's important to recognise that care management doesn't exist in
isolation from other factors. People with higher disposable incomes can
pay independently for goods and services - like meals, cleaning or
transport - which in the UK might have to be treated as part of the care
system. Health insurance also covers some social care services. For that
reason, unless your care manager is strictly concerned with methods of
practice, it's appropriate to look at the wider literature on income
maintenance, health and welfare.
