[regarding children prefering dolls of the 'other' non-marginalized

a few decades ago, dear friend had child born breech, who was in
a half-body cast for first few years of life, etc..
whenever she (the child) had a doll, she would bend its legs to match her
own "splayed" position.
when she spoke, she explained that the dolls were made wrong.
(she knew that she wasn't "made wrong")
as an adult, now, she is a lawyer, competent, respected, and her employer
provides a variety of accommodations under ADA, to increase her ability to
do her work.
