Bibliographic Concepts and Databases:
managing your bibliography with EndNote
A one-day workshop organised by organised by Oxford University's Centre
for Humanities Computing in association with the CTI Centre for Textual
Studies.
11th May 1999, Oxford University Computing Services
9.15am - 4.30pm, OUCS, 13 Banbury Rd., Oxford. Cost 5 pounds.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
This workshop is primarily aimed at Humanities scholars. The purpose of
the workshop is not to focus on any one aspect of bibliography, but to
provide an overview of bibliographical issues. Hence we will go from the
simplest and most basic question - what is bibliography? - through to
issues such as: how you should create a bibliography; sources of
bibliographic information; conventions and elements of style; an overview
of on-line bibliographic databases (for example, BIDS, OCLC First Search,
Edina PCI, etc.) and an overview of bibliographic packages. To give a more
in-depth demonstration of bibliographic software, we will give special
attention in hands-on sessions to EndNote 3.0.1
