If all you change is the operating system you will be able to continue work
with no changes needed. However, if your new system does not have the same
locations (renamed or restructured directories) you will have to either edit
the links to the primary docs inside the HU or create a mapping file external
to your projects which translates old paths into new document paths. With such
a mapping file you can easily work with the same project on different machines
with different file structure. Just set up a map file on each machine.
By the way, this was something I deeply missed when working with MS Word
external documents or linked bitmaps, where you have no chance other than
staying on the machine you started working on your docs. As ATLAS.ti also uses
a reference scheme for accessing primary docs, this feature was a clear must.
