NEW YORK CONSORTIUM FOR EUROPEAN STUDIES VISITING PROFESSOR
The New York Consortium for European Studies (New York University,
Columbia University, New School University)seeks an established European
scholar currently teaching in Europe with a minimum of five years teaching
experience and specializing in one or more of the following fields:
comparative politics of Western Europe,international relations of Western
Europe, European public policy,modern European history, social movements,
religion in Europe to be the Consortium Visiting Professor during the
fall 1999 semester (September 1-December 31). European Union specialists
are being sought under a SEPARATE announcement to fill the Marshall-Monnet
Visiting Professorship position in the spring 2000 semester.
The Consortium Visiting Professor will be expected to teach two
graduate-level courses, one at NYU and one at Columbia, participate in
Consortium conferences and workshops, meet with students, and contribute
to other activities of the New York Consortium for European Studies. The
stipend and allowances are awaiting budgetary approval.
