E C S R GRADUATE SCHOOL Sept. 30th to Oct. 6th 1999
The European Consortium for Sociological Research (ECSR) is organising a graduate level training programme for social scientists taking place from September 30th to October 6th 1999 at the Mannheim Centre for European Sociological Research (MZES), Mannheim University.
The primary target group for the courses are PhD students working in various fields of sociological research. Topics covered will vary, but the major focus is on theoretical and methodological problems of comparative research.
The programme comprises five days of teaching. Each day a distinct scholar will give a lecture. Seminars directed by the day's lecturer will be devoted to the discussion of core literature. Participants are also encouraged to present their own work.

Prof. Charles Ragin: Alternative Strategies of Comparative Research
Participants of the ECSR Graduate School have the opportunity to join the ECSR-Workshops which will take place immediately following the Graduate School.
