The course is at post-beginners/intermediate/advanced levels. The advanced group is
particularly strong and is suitable for a teacher wishing to refresh his/her spoken Russian.
Activities are varied and lively with optional sessions for grammar-lovers, singers of Russian

ESSEX RUSSIAN COURSE University of Essex, Colchester, 26 July - 6 August 1999.
This is Britain's only residential Russian summer course, catering for all levels from complete
beginners to advanced, and for all ages from sixth-formers upwards. You can attend for one
or two weeks. Stay in low cost self-catering accommodation on the university campus.
Activities include: morning classes; afternoon lectures (mostly in Russian); live Russian TV
news daily; a programme of Russian feature films; Russian word-processing and Internet.
For relaxation you can join in singing Russian songs, dancing or acting in Russian sketches
or plays. You may even end up starring in one of our concerts or course parties! Further
