The Scottish Cultural Resources Access Network is an innovative
Millennium project using multimedia and Web technology to make the
treasures of museums, galleries, libraries and historic buildings
widely available. SCRAN grant-aids small projects throughout the country
to digitise these resources and add machine-readable captions and
metadata to them. This data is then loaded into a searchable resource
base on the World Wide Web. The SCRAN team now needs an additional
member to take responsibility for getting this data into the SCRAN
resource base in the appropriate format: we have entitled this post Data
Manipulator. The post, which will be in Edinburgh, will be on a Salary
Scale of 14,337- 16233.
