I'm trying to put together a panel proposal for the European
Social
Science History Conference scheduled to meet in Amsterdam in April,
2000.
I'm lookng for papers to complement one on infanticide in mid 19th
century
NYC and another on infanticide in London. Major European cities anytime
after c 1830 or 1840 would seem to fit the bill, but other possibilities
will be considered. I'm also open to suggestions for commentators. Of
course, in the unlikely event that I should be deluged with replies, a
book
project might be in order. Please reply to me off list.
Many thanks
Stan Nadel
