Being a Philosophy student and with the current discussion
on Bioethics, Dr.Kevorkian and Euthenasia I thought that
you might be interested in references for argument against
Euthenasia and Peter Singer, as set down by academics.
Principles of Health Care Ethics, ed. R. Gillon (not a
direct refutation of Singer but with a great deal on
Euthenasia.)
Hastings Center Report - deals with Euthenasia issues
Also (ironically) in Ethics, ed. Singer, you can find the
Vatican Declaration on Etuhansia, and an article by Finnis,
pp. 253-7, which are absolutist in stance.
Some of these refernces were obtaing by simply asking my
Ethics Profressor Brenda Almond, so I do not know the
content of all of them. In Chapter 9 of Almonds "Ethics -
A Travellers Tale" is devoted to Bioethics I believe.
