That happens when there is something in the cells that you are shifting
over to the right - even if it's only a format in one cell.
I get around it by deleting blank columns to the right of where I am
inserting - that will remove any hidden formats you're not seeing. (Of
course, I have also gotten this msg when I run out of columns! I have one
huge sheet that actually uses them all!)
