Italian: Tenure-track, beginning fall 1999. Truman State
University, a leading public liberal arts and sciences
university, has an opening for a newly created tenure-track
position in Italian at the Assistant Professor level beginning
August 16, 1999; Ph.D. desired, A.B.D. considered;
specialization open, generalist preferred. Teaching duties will
be four (4) courses per semester (a total of 12 contact hours
per semester), including elementary and intermediate Italian.
Truman has a new Italian program which will see considerable
growth and a university-wide foreign language requirement.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated excellence in and
commitment to undergraduate teaching and a liberal arts and
sciences environment. Send letter of application, vita,

acceptable for now), three recent letters of recommendation,
