Thought this might be of interest. Glenn Hoddle is the manager of the
English football team. His thought processes (sic) perhaps go some way
towards explaining why the team is such crap. But perhaps that argument is
for another list.
While this will undoubtedly create a lot of controversy in the UK and
people will say that he is misguided or stupid or foolish (he is all of
those), I wonder if his attitude towards us - that we are essentially poor,
pitiful creatures - is not really shared by the rest of society, albeit not
because we screwed up in a former life.
The following appeared in the Times today.
IT IS Glenn Hoddle's controversial belief
that the disabled, and others, are being
punished for sins in a former life. That
does not make him a bad England coach, but
it is likely to ignite an inferno of an
argument.
"You and I have been physically given two
hands and two legs and half-decent brains.
Some people have not been born like that
for a reason. The karma is working from
another lifetime. I have nothing to hide
about that. It is not only people with
disabilities. What you sow, you have to
reap.
