VERMONT. Green Mountain College invites applications for a full-time,
permanent position in geology/physics at the Assistant Professor level. We
encourage applications from physical geographers, hydrologists, etc. that
meet our criteria. Green Mountain College is an innovative, residential,
coeducational and liberal arts institution providing environmental study
across the curriculum. The candidate will teach in a growing Environmental
Studies program, and must have his/her Ph.D. at the time of appointment.
Responsibilities include teaching a two course sequence in college physics,
courses in area of specialization (including field-oriented courses), and
enthusiastic participation in GMC's interdisciplinary general education
program. We particularly value a commitment to teaching excellence and
scholarship.

EPE is an international, interdisciplinary, and peer-reviewed journal. We
welcome contributions from the humanities, social sciences, and physical
sciences, as well as the education and planning professions. Topics
appropriate to EPE include animal ethics, development ethics, environmental
ethics, environmental and social justice, professional conduct and research
ethics, urban and planning ethics, values in social theory, and select
methodological and philosophical discussions of moral understanding (e.g.,
qualitative methods, feminist ethics).
