I was on duty with St. John Ambulance and WYMAS in Bradford 1900-0330.
Centenary Sq. and Forster Sq. were quite quiet and WYMAS kept pace with
the volume of 999 calls, the 2 SJA Front Line vehicles only got two calls all
night and one of them was a admission / transfer that was running out of time
(pt's charter wise), apparently Leeds was fairly quiet too.
The post in Centenary Sq only treated a handful of casualties, and
some of them only needed to dry out after jumping in the fountain.
The system thet had in place was meant to be a trial run for new year
1999-2000 and didn't really get tested but there appears to be plenty
of slack in the system, the BRIseemed to be coping well, well enough for one
of their senior medics to pop down and see us.
