I have been asked to write an article on preparing for the millennium
celebrations from both prehosp and A&E point of view. I would be interested
to hear what planning people have done. Has anyone seen any predictions of
the scale of the casualty problem?
I just hope that so many people are working (e.g. emergency services) or
decide to go abroad or are on standby in case they have millennium bug
problems at work, that there will be no one left to come to A&E. But then I
always was an optimist. I still agree with Rocky's idea of an A&E holiday at
the end of January funded by the govt.
