I have used the NPA on many occassions so far with only onece only problem
with bumping a turbinate and causing nose bleed. Luckily other nostril was
patent or it would have been a problem. What is a Lindar airway?
The Combitube is effective in difficult situations. I once put one in a
diver in 3ft waves while up to my chest in water after he had an MI while
Scallop diving. Anyone tried the intubating LMA. Seems very expensive.

Yes Tom, I agree, the nasopharangeal is an excellent airway, especially in
seizures. I carry one in my airway toolroll next to the Guedels. Although
it is quite soft, what is the risk of damage in cribriform plate fractures?

<I believe that not enough use is made of naso-pharyngeal airways, and the
Lindar airway in particular - so much more patient friendly than the
Portex.
It has got me out of a hole on several occasions when RSI was desirable,
but
not practicable, providing an effective airway in the presence of trismus
and hypoxia.
Any one else use one regularly?
