One thing to bear in mind. A university administrator will normally look
for professional advice from outside. So someone ignored in their own
university instantly becomes a highly regarded expert when they appear as a
consultant in another place.
So while someone is pulling strings to get CVCP or a similar body to
arrange a "High-level workshop on strategic web management" (with a more
catchy title), we can get on with identifying the content, speakers and
demonstrations for that workshop (preferably before Price Waterhouse
Coopers beats us to it).
In addition, we might want to identify people from relevant disciplines
(like Marketing and Accounting) that do not participate in this list, in
order to put the strategic message across to managers from those
backgrounds.
