What a timely and useful discussion! I am new in this post, so all the
accumulated wisdom displayed is most welcome.
Here there is a real hunger from some of the Academic and Service
departments to get the best from the web. There is already in existence a
system of Role accounts to allow individual departments to work on their
own stuff. the main problem that I have is that the site is somewhat
bloated with brochure ware type information, and is not that easy to
navigate. Added to which the design is lame to say the least... I think I
am going to be busy.
Can I ask for some help straight off?
I have come from a Mac background, and am now on NT. I miss my Mac tools,
particularly BBEdit. What would be a good NT based HTML editor with some
of the same capabilities as BBEdit? (syntax colouring, HTML tools, built
in FTP client intuitive interface etc).
It good to find this community so soon.
Best wishes
Robert
