Actually, I'm beginning to think this is all **** about face - WWW is
JUST a technology - what we are really talking about is an information
manager. The role has to transcend technology so that
a) it can effectively use whatever new comes down the pipe
b) can discard outmoded technologies (remember Gopher?)
c) understand the role of information in the University - it's no good
your website saying one thing if your papaer base is saying something else
So another "web manager" issue - isolation from other info activities.
