Well, yes, same here but that's not the point I was making. What I'm
saying is that there is a difference emerging between different roles,
which may or may not be subsumed in the same person. For a relatively
small and minimally-resourced website (where might I be thinking of, I
wonder...?), one person may fulfill all these roles, either with or
without sleep. For a larger setup, a web team might be employed, in
which case, the distinction between roles might correlate more closely
to individual posts. The point is that there are different activities
which require different skills and they are all necessary to the
running of a website. Until and unless The Powers That Be get a grip on
this, the fuzzy perception that what is needed is a "web manager sort of
person" will persist.
