Dear Kimberley,
There's a review of 6 Web editing packages in December's edition
of Internet Magazine. Dreamweaver comes out top, which is certainly
my favourite. Dreamweaver 3 is about to be released, so hang fire
a bit. The other thing to remember is that the ridiculously cheap
academic pride (29 GBP) does NOT include HomeSite as the text editor,
which is bundled with the full commercial product. So I would
recommend getting Dreamweaver and, unless you already have a
favourite text editor, also getting HomeSite at the academic price
of approx.50 GBP (if I remember correctly).
Of course, if you are Microsoft-centric in terms of web server etc
then FrontPage 2000 might be better for you?
Best wishes,
Adrian
