On the same issue, I am coming under pressure from management to get
our new website appearing in the first few hits in 'all' the search
engines. I am attempting to convince them that this is impossible
even for a 'normal' website, let alone one like JoinIT.
It is my understanding that, because everything beyond the
front page and the registration form is inaccessible to those without
a password, and all pages come out of a database rather than being
interlinked with hypertext links, there is no chance of anything
other than the front page being seen by a search spider.
Am I right?
