In no particular order:
* Resources - part of this is convincing a perhaps still
sceptical management of the value of the website
* Change of role - web managers are (IMO) moving quickly away
from being the creators and maintainers of pages to being
(strangely enough) managers of teams of creators/maintainers etc.
For many of us who are in the job because of our
creation/maintanance skills, that's a whole new ball game.
* Expectations - web management is, like politics, "the art of
the possible". We balance resources, AUPs and bandwidth against
"having a better site than our competitors". Explaining the
difference between accessing a site via Superjanet and accessing
it via a modem is a constant task.
