Yes, that's correct (having just gone through a discussion with
teh OS about the maps on our site). However, if you really want
to avoid their weight bearing down on you, you have to prove that
your map is not derived from theirs.
Thus, with the London Underground, you would have to show proof
that your map was not created just from changing the colours of
the lines and the symbols used, but that it resulted from a
different survey of the stations geographical postitions
entirely.
