The Scottish Transport Studies Group was founded in 1984 to "stimulate
interest in and awareness of transport and its importance for the Scottish
economy; to encourage contacts between operators, public bodies, users,
academia and other organisations within a Scottish context; and to issue
publications and organise seminars related to transport policy and research."
Since early 1998 the main publication of the group has been Scottish Transport
Review which aims to facilitate debate on topical Scottish transport issues.
The review is circulated four times a year to members but can also be
purchased for an annual subscription of £25 for residents of the EU or £30 if
resident beyond the EU. The main sponsors of the review are Scottish
Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Scottish Airports, and Napier
University Transport Research Institute.
