I can't figure out why SPM99b should be trying to create this nanatspm
directory, or why it should be trying to access a volume called
nanatspmII01.img.
Because the program is not crashing completely, I would guess that the
error message is coming from the routines that display the orthogonal
sections. It is probably displaying the template image correctly, but
not the spatially normalized image in the right-hand panel.
Without knowing the real source of the problem, it is dificult to say
if the nr* files are all spatially normalized correctly. Try using the
<Check Reg> button with one of the nr* and one of the images in the
"canonical" subdirectory of SPM99b. This will give you a qualitative idea
of the quality of the registration.
Good luck,
