| I am a total novice to SPM99b software. I've just tried to install it,
| with Matlab 5.2
| on sunos 5.5.1 under solaris 3.5.1.
| Whenever I attempt to use Realign, Coregister.., an error occurs :
|
| For example :
|
| Warning: Out of range or non-integer values truncated during conversion
| from
| double to character.

This first error is only a warning, and I don't think you really need
to worry about it. Nevertheless, I have included a fix that is available
from: ftp://ftp.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/spm99b_updates/spm_hread.m

This error normally relates to file and directory access permissions. Check
you have write premission in the directory:
/afs/cs.unc.edu/home/seanho/miggg/tumor/MIRIT/Images/raw
| I installed SPM99b into my PC computer (Windows NT 4) and tried to
| analyze PET-images. I got some weird error
| messages to Matlab command window (see the details below). I don't
| think that there is anything wrong
| with my images since I have analyzed the same images in my Sun
| workstation (also using SPM99b) and
| I had no problems. (I actually moved the images from my PC back to
| Unix workstation today, and retested
| the SPM there =) no problems). I have downloaded the bug fixed update
| files from your server so that should
| also be in order.
|
| These are the error messages:
|
| When using "display" to see the images (or starting the realignment):
|
| PART 1: DISPLAY PROBLEM
|
| SPM99b: spm_image (v2.14) 07:18:04 - 21/10/1999

| And this just goes on...
|
| When using the Sun workstation, I don't get this error message at all.
| Despite of this message, the SPM99b in the PC opens the images and they
| seem to be ok.
I think this is the same error as seen above, and should be fixed with:
ftp://ftp.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/spm99b_updates/spm_hread.m

-John
