I'm afraid there is no easy way of doing this. The formats of the images
would need to be modified quite a lot in order to save colour images (as
the images would be vector fields rather than simple scalar fields).
What you can do however, is save the thresholded images (via the <Results>
button). This would allow you to directly superimpose the blob images
onto a background image, using an undocumented feature of SPM99b. First
of all, you would display the background image via the <Display> button.
Then you need to do a bit of typing in the Matlab window. For red blobs
you would type something like:
spm_orthviews('addcolouredimage',1, spm_get(1,'*.img'),[1 0 0])
then select the blob image. The red comes from the final argument [1 0 0],
which means "maximum red, no green and no blue". Other colours are derives
from different red-green-blue combinations.
Its not quite what you wanted, but it may help...
