Bairbre,
Your research sounds extremely interesting. I interviewed women about
their experiences of pregnancy and childbirth for my doctoral research a
couple of years ago. I interviewed them at between 6 and 12 weeks
post-partum, depending upon the interviewees' preference. The time
difference between interviews did not seem to have relevance for the
reliability of the data. However, a number of interviewees confided that
they would not have agreed to be interieweed had I insisted on
interviewing them at around 6 weeks (which was my original intention)
because some had felt depressed/tired etc.
I hope this is of some help.
Regards,
Sarah.
