Seminar Aims and Objectives
This seminar aims to:
- disseminate and build upon the results of the Leonardo da Vinci
Project, -curriculum, Women, TEC (Technology, Engineering & Computing-
(CuWaT).
- explore the dimensions of change identified as necessary by the CuWaT
project
- provide a hands-on atmosphere where delegates will participate as
presenters
- explore the different ways that women and men may learn TEC
(Technology, Engineering & Computing) subjects
- reflect on how to incorporate these ways into curriculum development
and delivery
- identify the culture of their department, the impact that culture has
on students
- examine appropriate steps to encourage change
- outline the importance of staff development using example models
The booklet produced by the CuWaT project will be made available to all
delegates and presenters before the conference and attendees will be
encouraged to build on this framework.

Special Needs
In order that delegates with special requirements may attend, the
University has a number of special facilities including wheelchair
access to buildings.
Booking Information
The full fee for the seminar covering all documentation, lunch and
refreshments is 120 pounds sterling plus VAT. Cheques should be made
payable to CCL.
Please note this fee does NOT include accommodation. A room on campus
will cost 17.02 pounds sterling plus VAT (20 pounds sterling)
Quality Assured
We are keen to ensure that all our events maintain high standards of
quality. To this end we will evaluate the seminar and welcome comments
and suggestions.
Substitution and Cancellation
If delegates are unable to attend, they may make a substitution at any
time. If necessary the booking can be cancelled, up to 14 days before
the seminar subject to an administration fee of 20 pounds sterling plus
VAT (23.50). All cancellations must be in writing. After this date we
regret that refunds cannot be made.
