I'm for adopting the engineering terminology. I have two reasons. First, it
is established, clearly defined and usually not too ambiguous. Second, you
need to understand it if you want to use the results of many of the very
good studies that exist in the literature.

Now that Steve and Eric both agree that engineering terminology should be
used in describing the physical parameters of the foot and lower extremity,
what term, or words, should we use to describe what has been generally
referred to in the medical literature as ligamentous laxity? (i.e. tonality,
tensile stiffness, stiffness, elastic modulus, etc?)
I am very interested in hearing people's opinions on this.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Kevin
