Dear David,
an outline account of Occupational Medicine training and therefore
functions at a specialist postgraduate level is given on:
http://www.facoccmed.ac.uk/Training%20SMT%20B.htm
at an undergraduate level they are of course much more limited, but
you can get a flavour of them from our University site on:
http://www.med.ed.ac.uk/hew/v2000/
as you will see (and probably know already) occupational physicians
have a role extending from prevention right through to
rehabilitation. Of course all this is best achieved in partnership in
a multidiscplinary team,
Regards,
Raymond
