Everyone:
I've just recently discovered/subscribed to this list. I'm a senior earth
science major, and the field I really want to work with is natural
disasters. I like various angles of it-- prediction, mitigation, emergency
management, and search & rescue.
The problem I'm encountering is what kind of background I need to have in
order to break into this field. I've got an associates degree in criminal
justice, and as I've already stated, I'm an earth science major.
Can anyone recommend colleges with good programs for this? Or even what
area I should concentrate in the most?
I'd like to hear how you got involved with this field as well.
Thanks,
Mimi Diaz
