Dear Natural-Hazards people.
I don't know if this is within your remit, and please
forgive me if this is an unsuitable place to ask,
but I am trying to trace info about volcanic eruptions in
particular, and changes in sea level in ancient times.
I have looked at various vulcanology texts, and on the Net,
but have found little. So far I can trace back to about
2000 BCE, but I'd really like to know about the times
before that. I know it isn't easy because there is so
little recorded from those times, but can't volcanic
eruptions, at least, be dated fairly accurately?
If anyone has any idea where I might find such info, you
can email me privately or on the list. URLs or references
would be wonderful.
Thank you.
