Presuming that you know the name of the mine owner your best bet might be
Kirklees Archive office in Huddersfield library. There may also be
information in the record office in Wakefield, but its not a name i have
come across whilst working in the Calderdale archives in Halifax.
Huddersfield library has a good collection of trade directories and local
newspapers both of which may contain useful information. A look at the 6
inch geological mapping of the area often shows the location of shafts and
adits. Huddersfield certainly have some dating from the last century.
